Matlock Bath

Last week, we all took the day off and went to Matlock Bath. It was really good to get to know our students. We arrived before lunch and took the cable car up the Heights of Abraham. Once we were at the top we had a guided tour of the caves.

Yorkshire

A couple of weeks ago we went camping up in Yorkshire. This is a picture of Malham Cove.
I love this area - a very long time ago glaciers rearranged the landscape, cutting valleys and leaving limestone boulders all over the place.




A piece of advice: buying cheap tents is a false economy.

Welcome to my blog. I'm looking forward to finding out what this is all about.

I'm Dan and this me with some of our students. I live with Boot and Kato. Boot's my wife and we've been together for a really long time. We used to live in Thailand, just outside Bangkok. Now we live in Long Eaton which is near to Nottingham. It's difficult to think of 2 more different places. Long Eaton isn't so bad, as long as you have a car and can get away from it.

Boot's an optician and she doesn't like to have her photo taken.
